A n v i l B l a s t i n g ?
The Anvil Blasters hail from Central Oregon sharing a unique repertoire of artfully arranged acoustic Americana music at venues and private parties all over the High Desert region.
In addition to original numbers, the Blasters cover such luminaries as Steve Earle, Dave Carter, Dave Alvin, Ian Tyson, Tom Russell, Gillian Welch, and Johnny Cash just to name a few. The band favors writers that pen new songs about the old west, ditties that tear at the heart while tapping the toes, and killin' songs ("somehow life takes on more meaning when ya' ponder the dyin' part").
And, of course they fire-up a few traditionals that are older than dirt, including several rippin' banjo tunes with the Anvil Blasters' twist.
