GARY JUST PUT THIS LINE IN...Tired of all of the junk mail (SPAM) that is starting to flood your mailbox? How did they find your email address, anyway? Why do we have to take the time to send an email to them to (maybe) be taken off of their email list. Companies are out there on the Internet skimming email addresses as they pass through the routers on the way to their destinations. The advent of Bulk Email programs makes it possible for folks to broadcast up to a million emails a day and totally mask or hide the true originating address. The amount of SPAM has increased 10 fold in the last year. If these increase sustains itself for a few years we will have a real problem trying to find our legitimate email in our boxes.  

What can you do about it? Not a whole lot, but there are some things that you can do. 

1) Check out the web site of the Coalition to Promote Responsible Net Commerce. They detail some of the do's and don'ts of dealing with SPAM. Sign their petition while you are there. 

2) Never do business with a company that advertises by bulk Internet Email. If you have a chance, tell them that that is why they lost your business.
